Not according to a new University of Pennsylvania Research study. What the study basically states is that Jeter misses a lot of balls that he should be catching because he does not have the range. He is ok with balls hit to him but will not field that many hit to the right or left of him.
In this the study maintains that the perception does not gel with the reality. At the same time A-Rod comes up as a much better shortstop. How about that!
